Boilerplate

Definition

The standard 'about' paragraph that appears at the end of every press release. It's a concise summary of the restaurant — what it is, where it's located, who leads the kitchen, and what makes it notable. Think of it as the restaurant's elevator pitch in paragraph form.

Why It Matters for Restaurants

A great boilerplate is 75-100 words and answers: What is this restaurant? What makes it different? Who's the chef? Where is it? When was it founded/opening? Lazy boilerplates full of adjectives ('world-class,' 'unparalleled,' 'innovative') are ignored. Specific, factual boilerplates get copied directly into articles.
